A Ferretonin Implant will usually cause a ferret to gain a good deal of
weight. Before I put Bonnie on the implant, I used to crush 4 Lactaid
(lactase enzyme) tablets and mix it into a pint of Heavy Whipping Cream.
Stir it well and let it sit for a half hour. Mix a tablespoon or two of
that into your Gerbers #2 chicken or crushed kibble and feed as a treat
once or twice a day. You can also use sweet (no salt) butter in place of
the cream. I'm not a vet, just a long time ferret owner.
