Subject: [ferrethealth] ADMINISTRATIVE NOTE: hurricane reminder because of Wilma and coming NE Nor'easter
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com
This is a re-run of a post I sent in July.
Since then the vet listings in the FHL site have been expanded for several states. As time permits there will be further expansions provided by volunteers.
Wilma hit Florida today, and both a Nor'easter and Wilma's projected path currently threaten to hit the North East U.S. sometime in the next 36 hours according to the Weather Channel.
What this means is that it is possible that there may be space of time when the moderators of the FHL will not be able to get online to tend to your questions.
In such an event, please, use the resources below:
It's hurricane season and all of us who moderate happen to be in places where our weather can at times get too bad for us to be able to be on line due to lightning.
Depending on how badly our areas are affected there may be longer than normal times between moderation.
As usual, we are here to assist but not to take the place of veterinary care. Your first course of action always must be hands on care by a veterinarian, preferably by a ferret knowledgeable veterinarian.
To help you if we have to be off-line for a while due to the storms this hurricane season:
