Subject: [ferrethealth] recurrent fur loss
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com
My 5-year-old ferret has a pattern of recurrent fur loss/fur regrowth dating
back about 3 years. Initially, the fur loss was confined to his tail but
recently it included his neck & torso (incomplete). Over the course of 2
months it progressed and then reversed almost completely during the past 2
weeks. Is this pattern typical of adrenal gland disease? Otherwise he is
his normal, (hyper)active self-no other physical or behavioral changes
noted.
I would appreciate any opinions or advice.
Thanks.
