Subject: [ferrethealth] smelly poop question
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

I have a 4 year old albino female who has been having some recent poop problems. Her poops are a loose medium brown color and are vile smelling (like rotten cabbage). She eats very well and plays and is otherwise healthy (her food has not been changed and is high quality). We took her to the vet and she tested negative for a bacteria infection and the x-ray didn't show anything like a blockage. The vet did feel a mass in her GI tract but is hesitate to open her up since she is otherwise healthy. She said the mass she's feeling could be a swollen node or a thickening of the intestinal wall. She said to watch and wait. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Lisa
