Subject: [ferrethealth] purple areas near incision?
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

Hi
Have an adrenal boy- left adrenal removed- non candidate for right removal. Has been stable on Lupron depot for about two months (one shot every ~ 40 days). He is active, eating and at times quite energetic for being over 5 years old with his condition. Also urinates and defecates with no problem. Feces is normal. In the last week he has been developing purple areas under his skin on both sides of his incision. Nope it is not new hair growth (been there done that with him and this is different). These purple areas run in two lines - one on each side of the incision. These lines run from his ribcage down his belly past his urinary opening to the top part of his back legs. His left adrenal was removed January 2005- so the incision is not new. Does anyone have some idea what these "lines" could be?
Thanks in advance for any ideas or information anyone can point me to.

Deb
