Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] Taking kits away from mum at 2-3 weeks of age?

Just for added info my fert that I raised from 2 to 3 weeks of age I had his sister from the litter before and when he was around 4 to 5 weeks They shared the cage after careful observation to make sure she was ok with him she was so gentle with him and he is, and knows, he is a ferret as there is absolutely no difference in the hand raised one to his sister if anything he is less nippy and more affectionate.
I dont recomend that any ferret be the only one they need company unless they have issues with others? Belinda

I would imagine that with ferrets being gregarious little animals you
would notice little change, socially, with a baby ferret if reared right
when taken away as a small kit. What information is there about this?
