Subject: [ferrethealth] prednisone causes adrenal symptoms?
Hi
Can anyone confirm this?
I spoke to a vet today who said that insulinoma treated with prednisone can cause hair loss that looks like adrenal disease. The high dose given in ferrets (1 mg/kg) causes high steroid levels that mimic adrenal and produce hair loss.
Is this true?
Thanks
Liz
