I will have to try something as most of the polecat coloured ferrets I have
at the moment I do not consider to be of breeding quality. I do have a nice
pair of Albinos but they are brother and sister, they are working stock
rescues I took in last year. I do not expect to breed from either them. I
may work the Jill over the winter if she has the right attitude. I was given
4 ferret this year which I have rehomed as they just not up to breeding
with. I have a beautiful polecat Jill but she is 6 and now too old to breed
from, I just never found a good enough hob to mate her with. I have gone to
see 18 ferrets this year but you would be amazed at the number of Polecats
I have been offered that have had brown, white or brown and white noses. A
dark polecat face with a white nose looks quite cute but it does mean
there's a lot of something else in the bloodline. Chris.
