Also be sure to get yourself a good veterinary dictionary for the hard parts for you. Personally, I recommend the _Saunders Comprehensive Veterinary Dictionary, 2nd ed._ by Doug C. Blood and Virginia P. Studdert. It is superior to the medical dictionary that I have from when I worked for an anatomy dept back in a past "era". Marvelous thing. ISBN 0-7020-2034-6
