Hi, everyone,
Romana's regular vet was able to get her temp up from where it was this morning (a horribly low 97.2 degrees) up to 102 degrees and gave her sub-Q fluids again. She's got a somewhat better chance of making it through surgery now. She's being kept warm with a sock filled with heated beans while she is traveling to the vet I trust to do what is needed and who has the necessary facilities (ultrasound, 24/7 care). I may be heading in that direction shortly.
I'm still looking for clues, insights, and suggestions.
All the best,
Caity
