That dose is roughly 2 mg every 12 hours. It's not a small amount at her size, but some ferrets have been given as much as 10 mg per day. I'm not so sure you can even overdose on prednisone, short term. It's more likely that long term high dosages would be a problem.

Personally, I would not be concerned giving this dose to one of mine.
