ABSOLUTELY-!!!!-

IN our experiences over the years. You have to wean them off the
nicotine-- or else they get PTS and get very ill!

we did not document these cases- wh has enough hours for this... but we
have had to work much harder in getting intakes settled in a non smoking
environment- typical withdrawal profiles!
We have had a similar record with those ferrets who are addicted to coke! (
coca-cola).

We just took in ( 2 mos ago) a 7 yo Xmas Rescue (NJ) that was adopted out
Feb 2001-- into a heavy smoking household. The hospice mom had to bring
cig butts home form work rub them over her knuckles to get the ferret to
take soup treats etc. It took 10 - 14 days to wean her down- she is fat &
happy now!
