Subject: [ferrethealth] update on post op baby/jelp
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com
Thanks to All responders... ORIT ,{ thats my 6++? yr. rescue ] went back to the vets today after really green slimy pooh again last nite and this morning. The results from the biopsy came back and the report was good in that they did not see any lymphoma, cancers etc, but they did state that he was loaded with bacteria,{ not the normal good kind,}which was attributed to the huge hairballs and having had them so long. He is also on famotidine . He is eating gerbers baby food which I have been thinning down with low sodium chicken broth in small amounts. I put a few drops of ferretone,[which he loves] in some slightly warm water and he is drinking it.And of course he is getting a tremendous amout of love.Again thanks for you all who responded and just a further thought...so many times our little ones seem to wait until the vets are closed, or on a long weekend or holiday or just late at night to get sick or exhibit unhealthy signs that leave Us the owners in a quandry and feeling alone, uncertain and scared for them.I have been in this spot more than once and I have turned to you good ferret people for support and advice. I would like to say to all of you that take the time to care about others and write about our beloved ferrets MANY MANY THANKS, AND TO ALL A BLESSED THANKSGIVING
