I can answer that. NO. It will NOT give a diagnosis, BUT it CAN tell when a malignancy has spread and is causing problems with other organs. With Fritter, her symptoms became so clear that there was no question. I do not know if you have ever seen someone with the mumps since may people these days have not, but the swelling get absolutely enormous, not just large, and her nodes did that with her lympho -- huge nodes that could be seen even from a distance. Ashling was diagnosed for sure finally by an ultrasound guided splenic aspirate. She was one of those extra special individuals for whom is is just so natural for all to pull out all of the stops just in case a way can be found to help her. Sadly, that was not to be.
