Subject: [ferrethealth] Tasha is better
To: <ferrethealth@smartgroups.com>

Thanks Sukie for your comments.

Tasha's pneumonia is already much better and her medications are helping her a lot as well as the supplements, food and vitamins are already helping her gain weight. I gave her a warm bath and dried her in front of the heater and she even tried to wrestle some with Mia and Little Bear. She is such a trooper at 9 years and with pneumonia and a 4 year adrenal problem. If I am repeating stories previously heard I am sorry; she had her left adrenal removed 4 years ago. A year later I started giving her monthly lupron injections. It clearly made a difference for quite a while, then she became almost completely bald and I stopped Lupron and started Melatonin. All of her hair grew back. Now she is on her second implant and she is half bald again. I ( waited 5 months not realizing 3 months was best)

So I saw a post related to someone giving a combination of Lupron and melatonin. Has anyone out there had hair regrow with Lupron combined with melatonin implant when the Melatonin didn't do it alone? I put several of my ferrets on melatonin in the summer and they all got fat and furry acting as though it was winter and now it seems that the cycles are reversed with less furriness as winter is setting in. Any ideas out there? thanks

Kathleen
