Subject: [ferrethealth] Hartz Flea Control poisoning
EMERGENCY! Hartz flea control was used by someone, and now the ferret is
crashing.
The attending vet is at a loss as to what to do.
Is there any antidote?
Big hobs are being readied for blood transfusions.
I don't have the exact PCV number, but the vet is talking bone marrow transplant.
Can anyone tell me what success can be expected with a bone marrow transplant.
What risk is to the donor candidate?
All I know is that the PCV is depleted. I don't have the number, but on the advice of
the vet, it's transfusion threshold.
