Insulinoma does not cause abnormal stools so your ferret may have two problems,

Hairball medication is OK with insulinoma.
The islet cell tumours in the pancreas are very small and only seen or felt when the
pancreas is operated on.

If he has constant runny stools he may be dehydrated check by pinching his skin at
back of neck,should spring back when released if hydration OK. If not get
rehydration fluid from vet.
