Subject: [ferrethealth] Mystery Disease - kits
I am at a loss to remember what I heard at the St. Louis Symposium regarding
a "new" mystery disease that is killing young kits. Is there somewhere where
I can find more information?
I have a 5 month old baby that became ill this week. She is running a high
temperature (106) and is lethargic. She is eating some. I found a hard lump in
her lower belly area and she does seem in pain. Currently she is at my vet's
being monitored and given subqs for dehydration and injections of Batril.
Today it appeared as if the lump had gone down a bit but she still has the
fever.
Am I panicking here? I think I remember this disease has a high fever. Any
thoughts on this from anyone?
Thanks so very much.

fighting
