Don't make any assumptions of breaks, etc. Loss of use of the hind
legs is not rare and can be associated with a variety of things. Here's
an article by Susan Brown, DVM - not to try to diagnose but to see
the variety of associations with the symptom. Is there a ferret
knowledgeable vet anywhere in your area?

She seemed almost partially paralyzed before the fall, her back legs seem very stiff and dont cooperate with her. My vet thought it might be because she is over weight but I dont think so. Now she is just dragging her back right leg more than the left. Is there something a vet can do for a broken leg or hip ? I am going to take her to emergency vet now for x-ray but they are not ferret knowlegeable there.
