Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: Pros and Cons of Vaccinations Needed
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

Sorry, I have had all of 4 hours of sleep if I am lucky.

In

>When 75% of the ferrets in a colony were vaccinated and then CDV was introduced a >few individuals died but having so many ferrets who could not catch and pass along >the disease also protected most of the vaccinated ferrets.

It should read that most of the UNvaccinated ferrets were protected.

I did not check my figures and was going on memory, but I had to write a long piece at one point on vaccines in ferrets and their research history and I believe I got the percentages right. I am sure that I got the info origin right, but not if it is both editions.
