Subject: [ferrethealth] ?? about cost of eye removal

I keep being told that a thousand seems an awfully high estimate for a vet to remove Cookie's eyes. I hope those of you with experience in this area could let me know what you charge or have paid for similar work. I'll probably have to spend a couple of nights in Albuquerque anyway, to get there early enough before and keep an eye on her after. So it may well be worthwhile for me to drive quit a way to have this done. Any vets willing to discuss this?
