Subject: [ferrethealth] hard belly
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

Hi, I have a 2 yo female ferret, Rayna. This morning I noticed her belly seemed a bit hard. I looked up that it could be a enlarged spleen or other causes... but my concern right now is a post that I read that said it could rupture. Her vets arent open today. I just noticed her belly today. She had been playing less than usual the past couple of days and that is the only thing I noticed other than her belly this morning. Is this something that can wait until tomorrow, or does she need to be seen as an emergency today? I would prefer to wait until tomorrow, as the only local emergency place to me, always seems to overcharge and never get to the problem.
Thanks,
Andrea
