Subject: [ferrethealth] Management of several sick ferrets
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

I have four oldies here that all have some form of hardness in their abdomens.

I only have $1500 currently to take care of this.

All are eating and drinking fine. One has thinning tail hair but it has not progressed upward.

When you feel a hardness in the abdomen - what should be done? Nilla's is hard all over; Disco I can feel just one hard organ; Missy seems to be really big (not hard, just....fat....which probably isn't a huge problem).

Is exploration the best idea for ferrets with hardness in their belly? My experience has been that x-rays and sonagrams are limited in what they tell us.

Thanks,

xxxxxxx
