I was not able to scan Fria's x-ray, which was no real surprise, I had
doubts about it actually working. I was mainly hoping to point out what
showed up that my vet was unsure of. It's right about where her left
adrenal gland would be, but was much bigger than a normal adrenal gland
should be. It was actually slightly larger than her kidney. My vet
said that if it is actually an adrenal gland, it is huge. Another
possibility that my vet gave was that it could be a loop in the
intestine that we were seeing.
I scheduled an ultrasound for Fria for next Wednesday. I'm not too
thrilled about having to wait, but that's the soonest I could get her
in. Do you think Fria will be ok until then? Her symptoms have not
changed, her breathing is still heavier than normal, but has not gotten
worse either.
We did not get any meds to give her since no fluid was present in the
abdomen, and no other diagnosis was made, which means that there is
nothing I can do for her to help give her some comfort. It's hard to do
much of anything for her when we don't know what exactly is going on,
and it's even harder to sit here NOT doing something for her.
