It's been awhile here too but if I remember right Ker
Avon's blood sugar spiked to over 500 and he was
dehydrated. Our vet at the time said he'd seen numbers
over 1,000 after insulinoma surgery. I think it took
until a week after surgery for Avon to get back down
to a blood glucose of 135. I believe both Podo and
Kodo had post-surgical diabetes as well and both were
OK in a week's time. Neither of their cases were as
severe as Avon's.
