Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Diabetes and Kidney failure
His kidney values have been improving, but not enough to raise his prognosis above
"guarded." Today his BUN was (if memory serves) around 107 or 100. Creatinine
was only down by "about 1" since yesterday.
He didn't know glucose off the top of his head, but yesterday it was 400. I suspect
it was down again today. (Again, they are so concerned with the kidneys, that they
are not paying attention to ketones. I personally would like to know glucose. Will
update when I know it.)
Bear's appetite was relatively normal tonight, and we managed to get him to eat
about 12 CCs of chicken. He's still peeing and pooping. He was very alert and knew
who we were. Cuddled in his sleep sack like a normal weasel.
Temp was a little low yesterday (99) so he's in a comfy incubator now.
Electrolytes are normal. Sodium was a little low.
