Today I took Mojave to a vet. Although the vet didn't know much about ferrets, she did say he looked very healthy and she could not find anything upon physical exam. She did say that he has lost some weight though. The fecal flotation came back negative, so she has no idea of what may be going on.
She sent us home with Clavamox (.25 ml 2x day). She hope that helps and she told me to bring him in in two weeks to get weighed again.
He does not seem to want to eat. I have to put some ferretone on some pieces just to get him to eat something. I am about to go make him some duck soup.
Does anyone have any idea of what's going on? IBD?
Please help!
