It is not unusual for a given treatment to not work after a while. Some ferrets have to shift back and forth between treatments. Some benefit from antibiotics for a while, some from fiber added to the diet. The strongest thing we have used personally in the past is Imuran. Carafate can increase stomach comfort; if you can get the liquid prep that is best.

If there winds up being a secondary infection there are steps which can be used. The most complex we ever had was with Sherman, and that can be found in the Archives.

Be sure first, though, that it is not something other than IBD. IBD is sort of a catchall term used when the other causes don't pan out.
