Subject: [ferrethealth] high creatinine: treatments? (herbal, etc?)
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com
Hi all -
Has anyone had any luck with the different herbal products out there for kidney support? I'm trying to help Bear lower his creatinine. Someone recommended a product that contains the following herbs. Are any of them a concern for anyone? My vet glanced at it, and said he wasn't wild about multi-herb products, preferring single-herb products (like saw palmetto for enlarged prostates.) He was concerned about the astralagus.
If anyone has any suggestions for herbs to help lower creatinine, or any warnings about the herb mixture below, please let me know.
Each Pill Contains:
Poria cocos fungus.
Rehmannia glutinosa root-prep.
Lindera strychnifolia root.
Alpinia oxyphylla fruit.
Alisma plantago aquatica rhizome.
Astragalus membranaceus root .
Dendrobium nobile stem.
Dioscorea opposita rhizome.
Paeonia lactiflora root.
Cuscuta chinensis seed.
Cornus officinalis fruit.
