About a year ago I asked about Dr. Purcell's book: Essentials of Ferrets: A Guide for
Practitioners
I received the follow answer:
"Moderator's Note: Dr. Purcell is invovled in writing a new text with another
excellent ferret vet expert; I won't say who for now. AAHA Press has been selling
out the last of the text she wrote for them. "
Is there any news about this by now? I'm quite curious about it and looking forward
to a new good book!

[Co-moderator's Note: with all of the delays that Smartgroups is having until it gets
fixed I am answering this as a bottom note. The book was delayed by other, far
more immediately pressing needs in one of the authors' lives, but as per a recent
conversation the manuscript has been recently resumed. I do not know if the hiatus
will have any further effect, or how long it will be. Sometimes life just sits on
people, I'm afraid. It happens to us all. --SDC]
