Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] Lymphoma (was Big Belly)

Hello,

I wanted to give everyone a final update on Fria, and to thank you for
helping me. It breaks my heart to have to tell you that Fria passed
away late Tuesday night. I went to check in on her and she was laying
in one of her favorite sleeping spots. She was not breathing and had no
pulse, but was still warm, so my fiancé tried cpr on her with no luck.
She looked very peaceful when I found her, so I am hopeful that she
passed peacefully, and without pain.

I had just gotten her biopsy results on Saturday, the 28th. It was not
Lymphoma. The cells were were endocrine cells, and were cancerous. My
vet suspects that it was cancer of the adrenal gland. He was going to
do a little research after reporting the results on Saturday, to see
what our options were. He called back Tuesday night to say that he felt
that removal of the gland would be our best choice, since this type of
cancer doesn't usually spread. I found Fria just after getting the vets
message. It couldn't have been worse timing.

Thank you all for helping point us in the right direction. My fiancé
and I tried our best to do everything we could for Fria. She is very
missed here, and will remain in our hearts and memories forever.

/Fria
