I wouldn't use Imuran unless you have a definitive diganosis and that can
only be done thru sugery and biopsy. Imuran is a potent immunosuppressive
drug that has many effects on the body and requires very close monitoring.
Once his tummy feels better it would be more prudent to start with
prednisolone This would also allow you to have the abdomen evaluated in case
the x ray missed something. As far as treatment for ulcer you NEED to add
carafate. This helps coat the ulcer reduce pain and allow them to eat
better. Also second antibiotic of amoxicillin. the baby food is great
until he wants to eat on his own.
It would be a good thing for you to look back thru the archives and review
Gastric Ulcers and IBD there is some good info to be found. You can also
try miamiferret.org for some pretty good health information on both of
