One thing that according to the press that is used for washing animals who have been exposed to oil slicks is regular Dawn dish detergent* which apparently does a very good job and is donated for that use by its manufacturer, but I would suspect that using a ferret shampoo would work for you since it always has for us in such a situation, plus if you use one of the ferret products that also contains conditioner it will be more gentle on the ferret's skin.
