Benadryl has to be available by you if Claritin is, Claritin
is the 'new generation" antihistamines, Benadryl is the original.
Diphenhydramine is the actual medication, it is used in emergencies even
as an injection for bad allergic reactions- I can't imagine it would not
be available.
Although, that doesn't mean it would work any better unless this was some
sort
of allergy.
I dont' remember seeing the original post about what was going on with
your ferret.
Does the nose seem irritated? Or any nasal secretions? Any pattern to
the episodes
of coughing, like happens when is sniffing around something, or in a
certain room?
Or is it more continuous. Is it getting worse? In general is active?
Gets rapid breathing
and more coughing when active? Wheezing at all on vet exam?
I will assume if the ultrasounds were done, then a plain Chest Xray was
already done?
What country are you in ( ?slovakia) ? Is heatworm a concern? Probably
not, if
in colder climate.
