Diphenyhydranmine it is no registred in SLO (slovenia) anymore. It is still in the online register of medication available here (and with my vet we tought it will be no problem getting it), but in reallity it is not available ... Claritin is the antihistaminic vets use here for exotic animals.

No, she doesn't have any eye ore nose discharge. "Only" episodes of funny breathing - as I wrote before, something between sneezing, coughing, choking and breath catching. This happens few times daily, usually after she wakes up (but not only than, and not allways). It was similar condition in the past june and she responded to treatment with enrofloxacin. Symtoms reapered in december. X-ray was clear - no changes, no fluids ... First we tried again with enro and she seemed to be better for few days, but after a while symptoms reoccured. We changed antibiotics - she got amoxiclav, but it didn't work, so we quit. We tried a combination of antimicotics and trimetoprim sulfa and it agagin seemed to work, but after three weeks episodes were back again. She was on antimicotics for 6 weeks - they should work if there would be some micotic infection. We didn't do a tracheal wash, since we don't really want to get her sedatet. She has insulinoma and we do not want to risk.
We did a "brief" US of thorax two weeks (?) ago and it showed no fluids in thorax, and no changes on hearth. Again, she was not sedated.
We decided to try with antihistamines - no response ...
On friday we are scheduled for US again. She will be sedated, 'cause we have to do a torough exam - echodoppler of the heart, X-Ray of trachea, thorax and US of all other internal organs. It seems that beside insulinoma and this misterious breathing condition (really have no clue what could be wrong) we are also dealing with adrenal gland disease ... US is performed with the best cardiologist here ...
Oh and - bloodwork is normal ...
So, I guess any inputs and sugestions would be appreaciated.
m.
