Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: Things Teddy and I are learning about managing EGE

OK. Here's a couple of things we learned last night.
1. ALWAYS cover yourself with a towel when you are administering yucky tasting
medicine. An angry male ferret with serious attitude will urinate on you on purpose.
I don't know about females....
2. He can not go more than 24-36 hours without Amferol. After about 48 hours, the
diahrrea and serious vomiting returned with a vengeance. Started giving him the
Amferol again last night (see #1) and he's better today.
Question: Just what is Amferol? Does any one else have experience with this med?
