Hi, everyone,
Our vet actually prescribed a teaspoon of plain yogurt
as a probiotic for Ryo-Ohki and Lady Ayeka. Since Ryo
thought this was a wonderful treat it worked out
pretty well. A similar prescription for Ayeka didn't
work so well and had to be given by syringe. We tried
plain and vanilla to no avail.
My point is that some dairy (not much of it, though)
in some forms may actually be beneficial. I certainly
would discuss it with a vet. I have never given cream
or milk to a ferret and wouldn't unless I believed it
would benefit them.
All the best,
Caity and the fantastic four
Nyssa, Chin Soon, Ella, and Zephyr
