I am not a vet. It's the lactose (milk sugar) that upsets their tummy.
Get a bottle of Lactaid or Wal-Mart Equate Dairy Digestive Supplement
and crush about 4 tablets an mix it in a pint of heavy whipping cream.
Let it set for a few minutes until the lactase digest the lactose and
then give your ferret a tablespoon or so of it. They will not get the runs.
