Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: dairy??
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

I'm just wondering what the purpose is of feeding ferrets another mammal's milk if
it's not natural to their diet anyway. :) Heck, it's pretty weird for humans to drink
another species' milk as it is! :-D

Seriously: is milk that wonderful a protein (?) source? Why give it at all when
something like chicken gravy makes a whole lot more sense? In the past, I had used
Deliver 2.0, kitten milk replacer, and Pro-Sobee, but ferrets just generally seem to have
a much better time digesting what they're designed for: meat.

a vegetarian,
andrea
