Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: Placing heating pad underneath cage floor
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

Some people use reptile rocks for ferrets who live in cold rooms or who get cold
easily. :) I'm sure the reptile rocks are safer than heating pads. Reptile rocks
combined with lots of snuggly bedding could help a ferret be more comfortable if
you're really worried about it. I find that Bear doesn't shiver until he wakes up. He's
fine in his piles of fleece while he's actually sleeping, and he's never had a problem.
We don't give him a reptile rock, but he does have the option of sleeping with us or
with his cats. :)
