I would make sure that it's a quality rock with a thermostat. The ones I
see sold in stores now often are the 'cheap' brands that have hotspots
(places way hotter than others) and no way to adjust the temperature.
Also, if you have a ferret that chews cords maybe you could cover it with
pvc pipe??? or make sure it's not accessible.
