Subject: [ferrethealth] ferret ALWAYS sleeping
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com
I HAVE A 3 MONTH OLD MALE WHO SLEEPS ALOT. THIS WEEKEND I NOTICED THAT HE COMES OUT MAYBE 3 TIMES A DAY FOR MAYBE 20-30 MINS. I KNOW THAT FERRETS SLEEP ALOT BUT HE SLEEPS MUCH MORE THAN THE FERRET I HAD BEFORE. HE PLAYS BUT NOT ALOT HE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE NEAR AS FRISKY AS OTHERS I'VE SEEN. HE WILL ALSO PLOP DOWN AND LAY FLAT SEVERAL TIMES DURING A SHORT PLAY PERIOD. HE DOESN'T SEEEM TO BE SICK. HE EATS AND POOPS WELL. SOMETIMES I WONDER IF HE'S DEPRESSED BECAUSE WE ARE GONE ALL DAY AT WORK. HE HAS FULL RUN OF THE HOUSE PRETTY MUCH EXCEPT FOR SOME "UNSAFE" PLACES THAT WE KEEP HIM OUT OF. BUT WE HAVE 5 OR SIX HOURS A DAY AND ALL DAY ON WEEKENDS TO GIVE HIME ATTENTION IT JUST SEEMS LIKE HE IS ASLEEP MOST OF THAT TIME. IS THIS JUST HIS PERSONALITY OR SHOULD I GET HIM CHECKED OUT? OR MAYBE A PLAYMATE?
