Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: weight loss & hair loss on tail
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

We have two albios who both lose their tail hair, however this normally happens in the
summer. We were told by our vet this is normal and it is called rats tail, it seem to be
worse if they roll in the sand pit they have to play in in the summer. We bath them in a
conditioning shampoo with flea preventer and this seems to recondition the tail. Good
Luck
