Couple of things, clearing and returnig off antibiotics suggest a nidus so
something is there that needs to be removed, second was a culture and
sensitivity done? and third did he take a sample of the tissue removed and
send it in for biopsy? This could tell you what exactly you are dealing
with so that it can be removed more effectvely. You want to be sure the
antibiotic is proper and there is a possibility it is not bacterial but
fungal with secondary bacterial problems or even possibly a tumor so a
biopsy is something that should be done for certain and possibly a fungal
culture too. Hope this helps sorry if a bit scattered but getting over a
cold.
