Of course it's "ok to keep her alive!" The boyfriend needs to get over it! Older humans
sometimes loose control of their bowels, that doesn't mean they are no longer with it
and should be euthenized. If she is not in pain and still has a good quality of life there
is no reason to cut that life short. With being bald she may have adrenal disease which
can be helped with melatonin/lupron. Just lay newspapers out to catch her "accidents"
and maybe confine her to one or two rooms. Don't keep her in her cage all the time,
that would be cruel after her being used to freedom.
