Subject: [ferrethealth] Time Frame for giving Melatonin
I'd like to try melatonin tablets on one of my guys but everything I read says that it should be given 6 to 9 hours after sunrise. My husband's work hours vary so I think we can do this most of days but not all (maybe at least 5 days a week). A friend of mine says she sometimes has to give it in the morning because of her schedule but her ferret is still responding very well to it.
Has anyone else had any experince with varying the time?
And if so, is it better to give earlier or later (I leave work at 8:00 and come home at 6:30)?
Thanks!
Lisa
