Subject: [ferrethealth] Sick ferret
I had "Rascal" to the vet yesterday. She weighted in at 660 grams. Ruled out adrenal
disease.
The dr. took blood and everything came back normal. Her exam was normal except;
her heart would race and then slow down, race and slow down. She was slightly
dehydrated. She has been somewhat lethargic. He indicated I keep an eye on her for
a couple of months and add fluid to her food for extra water intake. If there is
weight loss or other symptoms to bring her back in.
He indicated he could run an ekg for possible cardiac problem; could possibllly be a
kidney problem. He suggested he had read some of this information.
Do you have any input into this? He just seemed uncertain. Please assist me.
