Mine was diagnosed with IBD also..What is Z/D?
Pepper gets Prednisone, and carafate...I also give her some A/D (Canned feline cat
food)
We get the A/D from the vet hospital cuz its cheaper there.
We mix the A/D and jarred chicken or turkey baby food. With water added we then
put it in the microwave.
We use the A/D soup for her to eat then in the middle of her eating we give her the
meds then put some on our finger to get her to east again. It gets the taste out of her
mouth :)
We do give her Ferretone just not alot..She even eats ferrevite occasionally.
Just watch your babies poop.
Sometimes it will be great then next you know its all jelly and gross!
Hope i helped you some.
Jody

[Moderator's answer to keep down traffic: z/d is a special food in which the proteins
are broken down to amino acids, and I think that it is otherwise made "gentle" to
digest. It reduces the risks of allergic response or food intolerance in ferrets who are
prone to those, and is gotten through veterinarians]
