Bone is a tricky subject.

Some people like to give certain bones in certain conditions to help keep teeth clean and provide calcium. Others of us (and in the interest of full disclosure i will say that this includes me) avoid bones because at times injuries can occur. A past vet of ours lost one who had a bone sliver tear the esophagus too badly to save in time. (We prefer Foamy Fries and Cheweasels for tooth cleaning, also veterinary toothpaste and a cheesecloth wrapped smallest finger.)

Dietary questions have a tendency to get out of hand, I am afraid, so we try at this point to stick to facts rather than opinions for public posts, especially when we are short handed as we are right now, or when the topic has come up recently.
