Interesting that the ALT is so high.
I will try to answer some of your questions.
No, the diet or eating liver will not raise the ALT.
Eating only twice a day, IBD, and other inflammation
of the GI tract can raise the liver enzymes. Pred can
also raise the liver enzymes, but it is usually alk phos
that is elevated.
Has the liver and GI tract been ultrasounded to look for
cancer (lymphoma), IBD, or enlarged lymph nodes, etc
As for supplements, I would suggest a Sam-E product
called Denosyl.
